The complex Rosa’s Studios consists of 13 newly-constructed studios ideal for relaxing vacations away from the intense paces of daily life. 5 of these studios are located on the ground floor, 4 on the first floor and 4 on the second floor. They all have unique view to the Ionian Sea and the island of Zakynthos. Even the studios on the ground floor have view as the complex is built on an altitude higher than the beach. All studios are 25 sq.m. and can host from 2 to 4 people. They are fully equipped with fridge, kitchenette, air-conditioning and TV. They also have large private balcony that offers relaxing moments with panoramic view to the sea and the beautiful nature of the island.

Few stone steps lead to the sandy beach at a distance of only 30 meters, which means that you do not need a car to go to the beach, you can go on foot! Our rooms are ideal for couples or families looking for calm vacations and for people who love walking, swimming and fishing. The large, clean and sandy beach with the blue shallow water is safe for the children and ideal for couples and families. The building is elevated compared to the sea level, therefore it gives a unique panoramic view to the dark vegetation of Mount Ainos, the green gardens along the beach and the magical Ionian Sea. On the beach, there are umbrellas, sun beds and small boats to rent. The super markets, the traditional bakeries, the delicious taverns and restaurants, located in close distance to Rosa’s Studios, have sea view and they offer local products. The beach has been awarded with the Blue Flag, while in the village you will find car rental agencies. Close to our complex, there is a small natural port where tourists can moor their boats. The surrounding coastline offers many unexplored caves and virgin beaches that can be accessed only by boat. Sea turtles go to these beaches to lay their eggs. In our studios, there are 3 large and safe parking areas, private garden and lawn!

We are open from May to October. Very friendly prices, especially in low season.

Few words about Kefalonia

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian islands and it is geographically located between Zakynthos and Lefkada. The island is 781 large and it has population of 35,000 inhabitants. The capital of Kefalonia is Argostoli. The landmarks of the island are the famous beach of Myrtos, the high-quality Robola wine, Melissani Cave and the Holy Monastery of Agios Gerasimos, the protector of the island. Rosa’s Studios are located in the centre of the southern side of Kefalonia, in Lourdas village of region Livatho.

Few words about the region of Livatho

The valley of Livatho in Kefalonia offers tourist attractions with intense cultural, historical and religious interest. It harmonically combines the mountainous and sea landscape. Mount Ainos is the largest mountain of the island and has an altitude of 1,862 m. This is a national park famous for the black fir and the wild horses that live in its tallest peaks. The Castle of Saint George, built at an altitude of 320 m, was the administrative and military centre of the island till 1757, when the capital was moved to Argostoli. The islet of Dia, located about half a mile from the coast, is accessible only by boat. A hundred steps lead to a church that was built on the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to god Zeus. The church of Panagia Diotissa or Vlacherna celebrates every year on July 2nd.

Lourdas or Lourdata

In the centre of the village, there is a large plane tree (about 150 years old). Under its shade, you will find a beautiful traditional coffee place, where you can taste local sweets gazing at the green surroundings and listening to the running water of Mount Ainos that comes out of the springs. A path downhill through cypress trees and olive trees leads to the beach and a path uphill leads to the church of Agia Paraskevi, an important historical monument worth a visit. This church celebrates on July 25th with a large religious festival (panigiri). Also famous is the Monastery of Sissia that was established in 1516 by Saint Francis of Assisi, according to the tradition, and that was how the monastery took its name (Assisi- Sissia). After the severe earthquake of 1953, this monastery was rebuilt. Our village stands out for the lush greenery, the fertile soil and the running water that springs from Mount Ainos. In the past, fruits and vegetables were cultivated all year round due to the special climate and the terrain of the region. This made it the richest region on the island as its inhabitants used to sell their products to other regions of Greece.
